Nic's Surprise.

Sence we went to the coast for Nic's Birthday, I didn't get him anything. And well that kinda made me feel bad. So out of the blue this last weekend he said...."I was thinking you would have made me something you know.....scrap it". Hmmmm What a fantastic Idea. It totally just came to me...lol So since all my scrap stuff was at home. I just thought about what I wanted to make for him. I wanted to make a shadow box.....but did't have all the stuff to make it....So my second thought. I have seen Anne make so many of these things.....Hmmm yup I think I can do it. So this is what I made for Nic for his Birthday. I hope he will love it.






I totally have a little scrapper on my hands. She was right there with me every step of the way trying all the things I was doing. I think I may have to get her some stuff soon...lol If you look very closely It says (upside down) "firefighter" and she decked it out in Firefighter stickers and colored away!! She says Nic will love hers the best....and between you and me....I am betting she is right!!!

We had a blast doing this project together for the last two evenings.

Tonight I went to dinner with Mr. & Mrs. True. I had such a great time, chatting and laughing. I even laughed until I cried. It was a blast Good food, Good friends and Good laughs! Can't beat it....

Me and Tayler at the end of the trail. Next to the tree you could go all the way under. Tayler thought it was so cool. She played there for awhile. This tree was over 500 years old. It grew as a seedling on top of a decaying old tree, and over the past 500 years that old tree has decayed and left a tunnel under the 500 year old tree. It is amazing!

Yeah thanks Jody.
Since I said I would do it....here it goes.
"10 not so cute" things about me...

1. I am very self conscious. Asking people all the time do I look ok? "yes Jill shut up you look fine....lol"

2. As of lately....I tend to run late! I hate it but hell it happens.

3. Bite my nails and pick at my fingers.....unless I have fake ones on...

4. Gas issues....lol yup have to claim it. darn.

5. I do not shave my legs all the time. Twice a week is good...lol

6. Once I get stuck on a topic.....specially if it bugs me....I will nag about it...ALOT! Have a hard time with forgive and forget.

7. Have a tendency to say what ever is on my mind....even if it isn't always nice.

8. Get pissed off about little things when I shouldn't. Cause sometimes people are so damn stupid.

9. ROAD RAGE!!! Dumb people should not drive.

10. yup I will pick a wedgie.....lol even in public.

This weekend was a blast!

So hubby and I decided to get away and celebrate Valentines day early. (due to my dad passing on V-day....may not be a good day for me) So we dropped of Tayler at Grandpas and headed up to Portland.
We went to dinner (wasn't that good so not saying where). Then we got us a room in Jansen Beach...relaxed and had a great time just talking, watching tv, watching the boats on the river.
On Sunday morning we got ready and headed back toward home. Hitting a few stores on the way. We went to Circuit City ( they are closing and have great deals) got me a little camera to carry in my purse! Went to a music store and got Tayler some CDs. Glanced in a furniture store....didn't buy anything. Then Nic and I went to Craft Warehouse...got me some stuff to make a shadow box of my dad....think I maybe able to do that now. I have some good ideas in my head, so we shall see what turns out. Last store was Joes...got Tayler a remote control truck...she loves it!
When we got to Grandpa's house Tayler was being sooo good I gave her the remote control truck and she played forever with it. Nic cooked us all dinner..he made Tbone steak, baby red potatoes and green beans... mmmmmm.

All and all a good weekend!!
